How To Feel Confident Wearing Colour

COLOUR, CONFIDENCE, CREATIVITY

When it comes to fashion, I don't believe there are any rules. I think that you should be able to wear what you want, when you want and for me: this means wearing a lot of bright and bold colours.
Naturally, neutrals like black and white can be easier to wear, there's no difficulty with 'clashing colours' or losing confident because you feel as though you're standing out. So here's my guide to how to feel confident wearing colour.

However the clothes I wear tend to directly affect my mood - for example if I'm wearing all black I tend to feel more professional, whereas if I'm wearing a sunny yellow I feel more confident and free in the happy hue. Fashion can directly affect an individual's mood and/or confidence and I've definitely learned what excites me and boosts my confidence and that tends to be colour.

I've always worn colour and recently I've begun to understand how many people don't feel they 'can' wear colour due to the fear of standing out from the crowd or drawing attention to themselves. However as I've said colour is so much fun to play around with, there are so many tints and tones, so many patterns and textures to experiment with and use to express yourself.

Fashion should never be about any kind of fear, it's about loving what you wear whilst having all the fun in picking your outfits. If you feel yourself resisting colour, take a moment to drop the whole, 'OOOWH I wish I was confident enough to wear that,' outlook and instead you should be embracing what you really and truly WANT to wear.

To some, this fear of wearing colour might sound silly, but if this sounds at all familiar it's all about taking small steps. Start with some earrings you've always wanted to try, move onto a bright and bold lippy, and then to the skirt or jacket. Go bright and wear the thing you've always wanted to...match colours, clash colours, whatever you want to wear you can. Trust me, the more you'll do it, the more excited and comfortable you'll feel about finding new styles and hues :)

  2. Thanks so much for your advice regarding wearing colorful clothes.😅 To me, reds and yellows are perfect for this time-of-year. I suppose my favorite colourful colour which I feel suits my skin tone is probably yellow. But trust me, about three years ago, I thought yellow would be the clappest thing to wear. Btw, I'm, following you on your socials.Have a good day.😊

  3. Your dress is just the cutest! And I do wear quite a lot of colour...also because I don't really even realise that it's not super common sometimes. 😂My favourite shirts are yellow! And I have a rainbow striped jumper/sweater that I LOVE to death (literally....I've had it for 10 years!).

I was just telling my husband I need to brighten up my wardrobe- and even my makeup! I love natural makeup looks, but I'm dabbling with some bright summer lipstick every now and then! :D
