Bookish Q&A (yay)

IT'S TIME FOR A LITTLE Q&A KIDS

Okayyy - confession, I love answering questions and recently I've been feeling all bookwormy (is that a word?) and lovely. And todayyyy I'm going to answer a few random burning questions you never wanted to ask me! But you get to anyway - fun!
Oh, oh wait, just before we DO launch into this I've got exams coming up so ma blog might be slacking a lil bit in the coming months and I'm internally screaming (sorry kids, but exams are important blah blah blah!)

IF YOU COULD GIVE ME ONE PIECE OF LIFE FROM YOUR LIFE EXPERIENCES, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Well this is a random little question isn't it then?
Blogging wise? I'd say create a blog you love and that you're happy with, because if you're not happy with it no one else is going to.
Life wise? Don't be afraid to talk to people. A few months back I realised I was stopping myself from talking to people just out of fear and overthinking everything. Trust me - this is just stresssssful and sad and not fun. So say what you wanna say (within reason) and don't be afraid to be yourself.
School wise? Pick your moments. Don't be an idiot all the time - just when its okay to be? Don't be an idiot during exams or when you really do need to be learning - but apart from that you can be an idiot all you like.
Just support people and be nice and don't be such an annoying idiot.

IF YOU COULD MEET ANY FICTIONAL CHARACTER IN REAL LIFE WHO WOULD IT BE?
I really wanna be cringy and say 'MY OWN CHARACTER!' but there's  big chance they'd kill me or say something annoying and sarcastic with about 2.0 seconds. Thanks guys.
So I'd pick Jace from The Mortal Instruments, Jack from Night Owls, Joe from The Sky is Everywhere because in their own way they're all bad-asses who are gorgeous and caring and sarcastic and lovely.

OTHER THAN READING AND BLOGGING WHAT ARE YOUR OTHER PASSIONS IN LIFE?
I'm just one of those annoying people whose passionate about everything from makeup to cake to style to cake to art to cake to film. My truest passion in life is writing and cake. OOOH and talking - not gonna lie, people who know me personally will know I talk a lotttt. I also like travelling. I plan to spend my life on planes and beaches and roadtrips. Amen to that.

WHAT REAL PLACE WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO VISIT?
South Americaaaaaa - I'm desperate to hit Rio, Peru and all those other amazigggg and culture-filled places. I also want to visit ancient Japan (places like Kyoto), Bali and Thailand. Need some spiritual retreats with my bezzies. Aaaaaaargh get me on a plane!

WHAT FICTIONAL WORLD WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO VISIT?
I've got a few lads. Some you might not agree with.....
1. Panem from The Hunger Games series. Yah - it's not the most popular destination on the fictional map, because let's be real - the whole 'Hunger Games' thing isn't that fun. But I'd like to see where I fit into the different districts and meet Effie Trinket. Babe.
2.  Middle Earth from the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I'd be an elf. JOKING I'd be that one annoying dwarf who eats too much. Duhhh.
3. Wonderland from the Alice In Wonderland Series. YAS.
Sorry - wouldn't go to Hogwarts, or Narnia or even Caraval.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE QUOTE?
There's too many. Check my Pinterest kids. Ugh emotions.

WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE AND WHY?
I don't actually believe that 'one book fits all.' I just don't. Everyone is so different and their needs and wants are different, it's like assuming everyone needs cake to survive? They clearly don't. Some people can live off of pancakes or ice-cream and I completely respect that. You do you boo. So here's some TYPES of books I think everyone should read....
  • Own Voices stories - stories that share their own voices and speak up. Just do it peeps. Find someone who lived that and learn from it.
  • Books that will change the way you see the world. They could be Own Voices stories, or maybe even something Harry Potter. Find something with messages and characters that make you want to change and become a better person or even see people that are in your life differently. Okay - so maybbbbe I'm not making sense (whoops.) But ya get the idea.
  • Something out of your comfort zone. Ya know ya wanna.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE TV SERIES OF ALL TIME?
It's got to be friends? Like come ooooon I've watched every single episode abooout ten times. Not even joking guys it's witty and timeless and real and relatable and that one show I watch virtually every single day.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST STRUGGLE WITH YOUR BLOG?
This year? I'd have to say getting the layout right, I reallyyyyy want to make my blog LOOK good as well as having good content - and balancing the two can be kinda tricky between spending your time writing blog-posts and spending time trying to get it lookin' lovely.

WHAT QUALITIES DO YOU ADMIRE MOST IN PEOPLE AND WHY?

  • People who actually buy books and IMMEDIATELY read them - thinking it's some kind of black magic these people have.
  • Respect. Rude and arrogant people who don't respect other reallyyyyyy bug me, you don't always know a person like you think you do and being rude or disrespectful to them just isn't nice.
  • Writers who are proud of their work. Damn those people are fabulous.
  • People who are driven - I admire that determination soooooo much.

Aaaaaay did ya like my little Q&A?
What qualities do you admire most in a person and why?

Lots of love,
Grace
