My Glowing Skin Routine

WE'VE LEARNT A LOT FROM BELLA HADID

With 16.9 million Instagram followers, Bella Hadid needs no introduction. Gracing the covers of Vogue and campaigns for Dior and Adidas, the it-girl and supermodel has taught us a thing or two about skincare and makeup, especially how to get that natural glow.
I've always been obsessed with new makeup and skincare that will give me a pretty shine (ooh la la) and paired with a few helpful tips from Bella Hadid - here's my glowing skin routine.

CLEANSE BABY CLEANSE
There is no way your skin is ever going to look dewy or naturally beautifully without a light cleanse every morning. Avoid heavy, weighty cleansers that will clog up pores with toxins and chemicals. Your skin will tend to react and end up being dry and more dry. Foaming cleansers are perfect for most skin-types: they're light and easy to use and great for everyday use.

A SPLASH OF COLD
Splashing your face with cold water after cleansing or exfoliating is suchhhhhh a good idea. I learnt about this from Bella Hadid after an interview with Vogue. Splashing your face with cold water is a good refresh, but also closes your pores - ensuring dirt and other nasty stuff won't enter your skin during the day.

MOISTURE
In recent months, I've become a little bit of a moisturiser addict? And by experimenting with alllll different kinds, I've found (once again) that a light moisturiser is the best. Even if your skin is especially dry, using heavy, thick moisturisers daily is a bad idea. The Hadid's are famous for their healthy-looking glow, and a light, fresh moisturiser is the way to do it.

EMBRACE THE FACE OILS
I;ve never been a fan of serums or face oils - they always seemed a little too pricy for what you were getting. But most of the time - the investment is worth it. Find an oil or serum that brings your skin back to a healthy glow after all that cleansing.

LIQUID HIGHLIGHTERS (aaaaaargh)
Putting illuminating powders and shining highlighters all over you face can make you look a little bit like a disco ball (sorry.) Okay - don't get me wrong I love highlighters and liquid highlighters kinda scare me. But dotting a little bit of glowy, liquid highlighter under your foundation is a mustttttt. This allows a subtle glow, without blinding anyone or looking too dewy.

A SHADE WARMER
If anything - Bella loves a warm, matte complexion. If Gigi is all about the excessive glow, Bella is all about the subtle warmth. She doesn't go darker with her foundation shade, just a shade warmer. This gives her that natural glow, whilst still keeping to her statement matte look. I'd recommend trying it - see what you think?

A SUBTLE CONTOUR
Bella is famous for subtle face-makeup and bold eyes on occasions. And one thing she deals with a lot is flashy cameras  on red carpets. A subtle contour on the forehead and cheekbones will give the face some depth on camera and in real life. Just make sure to blend.

FRECKLES
I'm naturally blessed to have about two freckles. But if you do naturally have a whole load of freckles - show them off. Freckles are gorgeous and Hadid usually places them on artificially. Embrace your freckles - they're beautiful and I'm eternally jealous.

THE FINAL TOUCH
Last but not least, I pat a small amount of peach-toned blush on my cheeks. This just gives a summery look and warmer tone to my skin and makes my whole face look super-duper healthy. It pulls the look together - just start small and build up. You don't want to look like an actual peach.

And that's how I do it! Healthy, glowing skin is all about light-weight products, natural makeup and a few tips from the amazing Bella Hadid.

Lots of love,
Grace
